Welcome
to our web site - plant lovers! First of all, I am greatly honored to lead HGA
for the next two years. During my
12-year membership I have found the Hobby Greenhouse Association to be a unique
organization of people that love to grow plants year-round. The membership is
made up of a variety of people that have a passion for growing annuals, seeds,
vegetables, flowers, orchids, cactus, tomatoes, bonsai, and succulents as a
hobby or business. Our members
share their knowledge and experience growing plants in articles that appear in
the magazine and newsletter we publish throughout the year. We offer ideas,
unfamiliar plants, products, techniques, greenhouse designs, advice,
inspiration and most valuable of all "experience" to our members. The
HGA Officers and Directors serve as volunteers, dedicated to making HGA an
outstanding resource for new and experienced greenhouse and indoor gardeners. We
strive to keep the membership cost as low as possible. Please look over the
website and see how you can benefit from an HGA membership and the many services
we offer. I want your greenhouse and your plants to be the best. I invite you to
join and "Grow
with Us"
Below is a sample of some of our member's greenhouses from all around the country.. Note the diversity in design, size, use, and construction. Just click on any of the image buttons below to see an enlarged view, then click on the browser back button to return to this page.

Hobby Greenhouses
enable you to do so much more year around such as :
Left: Propagate new plants in preparation for the growing season using overhead misting and other automated systems such as this one installed in a Pennsylvania Member's greenhouse. Right: Save tender plants. Even in milder Zone 8+ climates, hobby greenhouses are plant life savers when ice storms and "blue northers" hit - (this photo taken in Austin, TX.) For more information and help about greenhouse operations, maintenance, and growing methods from fellow hobby greenhouse growers, join HGA today!
